This cute comic collection explores the common experiences of mothers with young children， but it doesn't just focus on the baby years。 It goes all the way through the child turning seven， and covers lots of milestones， joys， frustrations， and weird things that typically happen along the way。 I enjoyed the humor and the cute drawings， and this book will be relatable for lots of moms。For the most part， the book is very general， so that people can connect with it regardless of their background or This cute comic collection explores the common experiences of mothers with young children， but it doesn't just focus on the baby years。 It goes all the way through the child turning seven， and covers lots of milestones， joys， frustrations， and weird things that typically happen along the way。 I enjoyed the humor and the cute drawings， and this book will be relatable for lots of moms。For the most part， the book is very general， so that people can connect with it regardless of their background or unique experiences。 However， the author briefly and casually mentions adoptive moms and NICU moms， and I appreciated that sensitivity， since many books about motherhood don't acknowledge these experiences。I found this book cute， funny， and heartwarming。 I didn't care for some of the mostly nude drawings near the beginning， so other readers who would find that crass and unnecessary will want to be aware of that， but I really enjoyed this book， and it would make a gift for baby showers and Mother's Day。 It also has great reread potential， unlike some short comics collections， especially since it covers different ages。 New moms will likely enjoy going back to this book to review and remember earlier stages of their child's life， while relating in a new way to parts of the book that cover older ages。I received a temporary digital copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

This is a fast and cute read of quirky cartoons and lists depicting the humorous and real side of early motherhood。 I liked how the situations were realistic but didn’t employ scare-tactics that I often see in media for new moms。 Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion。

A very good book - would be very useful for especially for first time mommies。 An easy and quick read。 Funny and practical！！As I always say it's very important for couples who plan to start a family/ expecting parents to have an idea of what it feels like- not just during the gestation but at least upto the first 2 years after the baby is born。 Can be prepared for so many things - especially post partum depression。This book was awesome including until the first 7 years as a mother （Though few it A very good book - would be very useful for especially for first time mommies。 An easy and quick read。 Funny and practical！！As I always say it's very important for couples who plan to start a family/ expecting parents to have an idea of what it feels like- not just during the gestation but at least upto the first 2 years after the baby is born。 Can be prepared for so many things - especially post partum depression。This book was awesome including until the first 7 years as a mother （Though few items like nanny and returning to work etc， most or at least a of us evaluate and plan in advance with provisions for unexpected changes。 Example - I have a 7 year old now and we discussed and decided before the baby was born and still we took one step at a time）。 。。。more

I have a 5 and almost 3 year old and I couldn't stop laughing and shaking my head at so much truth to this book。 It made me realize how moms are on such different journeys but we can all relate to so much。 There was a part about a NICU mom and it hit me hard。 My youngest had open heart surgery at 5 days old on the day after Christmas and even though it's been nearly 3 years since that day， I can still remember everything about the NICU/CICU life。 Thank you for this book and showing that moms can I have a 5 and almost 3 year old and I couldn't stop laughing and shaking my head at so much truth to this book。 It made me realize how moms are on such different journeys but we can all relate to so much。 There was a part about a NICU mom and it hit me hard。 My youngest had open heart surgery at 5 days old on the day after Christmas and even though it's been nearly 3 years since that day， I can still remember everything about the NICU/CICU life。 Thank you for this book and showing that moms can all relate to each other in so many ways and in the end we are all just doing our best to raise our children right。Thank you to NetGalley and Workman Publishing Company for the eARC。 All options are my own。 。。。more
